Scooter Economy
With the cost of gasoline skyrocketing to
all time highs, fuel economy is on the minds of all Americans.
Scooters offer a very practical solution to average fuel consumption
issues. When you are out for a drive notice how many large vehicles
occupy our roadways these days. Also notice how frequently these large
vehicles are occupied by a single individual. While scooters are
not practical for out-of-town travel or for transporting more than two
individuals at a time, they are wonderful money savers when it comes to
running many in-town errands.
How often do you run from one store to
another simply to pick up an item or two? Have you ever figured out how
much money you are wasting by using your automobile when a scooter could
offer you the same transportation for much much less. Another
interesting fact about scooters is that they actually offer the
rider quite a bit of storage area. The seat offer ample room for several
items and many scooters come equipped with hooks that allow you to hang
plastic shopping bags. Another option is saddle bags over the seat which
allows you to have increased storage room.
Even the most economic of cars offers
only 28 to 34 mpg in-town. Scooters offer between 60 and 80 mpg while
running on high octane gasoline. The few pennies of extra cost for the
premium gasoline is more than made up for with the excellent gas
mileage. Another important fact is that scooter, while burning much less
gasoline, are contributing minimally to pollution and helping to
conserve our natural resources.
Before you hop into your SUV to drive
across town to run errands, consider the scooter alternative and help
contribute to decreasing pollution and decreasing your out-of-pocket
gasoline expenses. |
